About Galt Alliance Films

Established in 2003 in Trinidad & Tobago with a mission Dave Cabral described as “bringing a piece of Hollywood to Trinidad and Tobago.” In two decades, GAF produced three international feature films, co-produced with Norway, and received the T&T Production Expenditure Rebate twice.

Galt Alliance Films

Galt Alliance Films is a Trinidad & Tobago film production company, established in 2003 and registered on IMDB as company co0205570. The company's mission from the start was to produce international-quality feature films from T&T, accessing international talent, international co-production partners, and international distribution channels.

GAF provides full production services for film and video productions, including financial and accounting, legal and contracts, brokerage and customs clearance, and Production Expenditure Rebate application assistance. These services are particularly valuable for international productions considering Trinidad & Tobago as a shooting location.

Post-production capabilities extend to graphics, animation, and music scoring. GAF has experience assisting international producers with the T&T rebate programme, having been among the first companies to successfully receive it on two consecutive international feature films (Contract Killers, 2008; Limbo, 2009).

Galt Alliance Films now operates as part of the Saturn Magic Makers Group family of companies, with financial and accounting services provided in partnership with Scorpius F.A.R.M.S.

Dave Cabral

Founder & President, Galt Alliance Films

Dave Cabral, Entrepreneur and Businessman, is the founder and President of Galt Alliance Films. With over 25 years of experience in the film and entertainment industry, his expertise spans finance, film production, accounting, stakeholder negotiations, project management, and team leadership.

Mr. Cabral gained financial expertise managing the assets of manufacturing and retail companies valued in the TT$ millions. He subsequently shifted those skills into the entertainment industry — raising equity and debt financing for Galt Alliance Films in what was, at the time, a very latent Trinidad and Tobago film market where venture capital for film was near-impossible to secure.

He orchestrated and successfully negotiated the capital investment for GAF's first international feature film through the Venture Capital Investment Program (VCIP) and Clico Investment Bank (CIB). For the second film, he negotiated debt financing — a different structure, same result: production funded and delivered.

With his guidance and leadership, Galt Alliance Films was one of the first companies to successfully submit and receive a production rebate of 35% for the international feature film Contract Killers in 2008, and again for Limbo in 2009, through the Production Expenditure Rebate incentive from the Ministry of Trade, Trinidad & Tobago.

His film career began earlier: a minor acting role, sound operator, and music producer for Men of Grey II — Flight of the Ibis (1996). From 1999 he deepened his knowledge of all aspects of the entertainment industry with special focus on film, from financing through pre-production to distribution. Feature film credits include Executive Producer / Producer of Backlash (2006) and Contract Killers (2008), and Co-Producer of the Norwegian feature Limbo (2010), produced by S.F. Norge.

Dave Cabral is also founder of InstaTuition Dynnamic Emotional & Academic Skills Limited (InstaTuition), CEO of Scorpius F.A.R.M.S., and founder of Saturn Magic Makers Group.
