The production was financed through equity raised by Dave Cabral via the Venture Capital Investment Program (VCIP) and Clico Investment Bank (CIB), the first venture-capital financing of its kind in Trinidad & Tobago's emerging film industry.

The film was financed through debt financing negotiated by Dave Cabral, and was among the very first productions to submit and successfully receive the 35% Production Expenditure Rebate from the Ministry of Trade, Trinidad & Tobago.

Limbo is GAF's most celebrated production. A Norwegian-Caribbean co-production with S.F. Norge, directed by Maria Sødahl, the film won Best Director at the Montreal World Film Festival. Dave Cabral served as Co-Producer, and the production received the 35% T&T Production Expenditure Rebate in 2009 — the second consecutive GAF film to do so.
